Support Dad This Father's Day

Support Dad This Father's Day

Dads often have a rough exterior but even the toughest dad loves affection, appreciation, and support.

This Father’s Day, take a little time to show your dad just what he means to you! Here are some ways to make Father’s Day unique this year (so you can skip the tie!).

Quality Time

Your dad probably doesn’t need more stuff. What he might need, or want, is quality time with you–especially if your family has a crazy busy schedule! Take some time to plan a special activity or outing that your dad enjoys (even if you don’t). It could be going for a hike, playing a round of golf, watching one of his favorite movies, or cooking a meal together. Show dad that you really know him and remember his favorite things. It doesn’t have to be extravagant or cost a lot, he’ll just appreciate you taking the time to make the plans and consider his hobbies! And, of course, you’ll get quality time together.

Give a Heartfelt Gift

Don’t just reach for the brightest color on the tie rack this year. Before you buy a gift, consider his interests, hobbies, or something he's been wanting for a while. It could be a book by his favorite author, a gadget he's been eyeing, or even a personalized item that holds sentimental value. If he’s really active and often complains about aches and pains, maybe consider something that’s going to make his workouts more enjoyable–an insole that will keep him aligned and safe during his favorite activities. The key is to choose something that shows you've put thought into it.

Help with Projects

You know that big project your dad’s been fighting with for the last few months? The one your mom says he’s never gonna finish? Offer to help! Ask questions about it. Listen to his rants and lectures and, here’s the kicker, be interested! You’ll get quality time together, he’ll get an extra hand, and he’ll be that much closer to finishing the project. It’s a win-win for everyone.

Support Dad All Year Long

Showing Dad you care is important all year long, not just on Father’s Day. And while it’s his job to support you, returning the favor in simple ways will be greatly appreciated. While you might not be able to work alongside him all the time or support him monetarily, you can get him a gift that will support him as he works, plays, and stays active and healthy. The right Orange Insoles will fit into any shoe (work boots, athletic shoes, or slip-on) and will help maintain alignment and prevent the aches and pains that come with being an active, super cool dad (and yes, your dad IS pretty cool).
